  (The following obit from Nilsson.FTW, Sondra Johnson) Obituarie from the Colfax Gazette Peter Schierman The funeral for Peter Schierman 71, resident of La Crosse, will be at the Methodist church in La Crosse Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Shreve officiating. Burial will follow in the LaCrosse cemetary. He died Feb. 8 at Whitman Community hospital in Colfax after a brief illness. Born Nov. 23, 1911, at Winona, to Peter and Anna Marie Schierman, he lived his entire life in the Endicott-La Crosse community where he worked as a carpenter. He was married to Adena Holmes Feb. 20,1938 in La Crosse. He was a member of the Lutheran church, La Crosse Masonic lodge and the Order Eastern Star at La Crosse. Surviving are his wife, Adena, La Crosse; one daughter, Patricia Ann May, Meridian, Miss.; one son, Peter DeWayne, Tacoma; two brothers, Daniel, Portland; and Alex, Spokane; four sisters, Anny Bly, Dayton; Esther Thompson, and Velma Kastel, both of Portland; and Emma Lewis, Salt Lake city; also two grandchildren, Curtis and Layna May. The Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax, is in charge.
